Synopsis:

The aim of the course is to extend the knowledge gained in previous courses - it is intended for students who have already reached advanced level of knowledge about structural problems in buildings. The content of the course is focused on the complex solution of construction details, following all legislative requirements and taking into account the maximum efficiency and durability of the chosen solution.

Requirements:

Passed exam of 124BSD2 - Building Structures 2.

Fulfillment of the requirements according to the lecturer's instructions.

1. Introduction, principle of complex approach to design of construction detail in building.

2. Resolve or editing of 2 construction details from a previous building project.

3. Resolve or editing of 2 construction details from a previous building project.

4. Resolve or editing of 2 construction details from a previous building project.

5. Correct solution of incorrectly designed construction detail from own building survey.

6. Correct solution of incorrectly designed construction detail from own building survey.

7. Presentation - defense of selected sophisticated construction detail (from literature).

8. Presentation - defense of selected sophisticated construction detail (from literature).

9. Complex design of construction detail in sophisticated building (2-3 details).

10. Complex design of construction detail in sophisticated building (2-3 details).

11. Complex design of construction detail in sophisticated building (2-3 details).

12. Complex design of construction detail in sophisticated building (2-3 details).

13. Final discussion, summary of conclusions.

Study Objective:
