Synopsis:

Historical development of security technology, external elements (switches, signals, detection means), station, track and crossing security equipment, existing train security equipment and ETCS, traffic control structure, traffic control technology, automation and traffic control optimization, power supply systems, energy calculations and train running dynamics.

Study Objective:

Students know the basic elements and principles of management and security of railway traffic. They characterize the characteristics of railway traffic and have an overview of infrastructure and train protection equipment. They have the necessary skills to manage railway traffic, including practical operation of equipment.

Professional publications of railway security technology, internal regulations of railway and rail transport operators, technical standards of railways, technical specifications of interoperability, decrees and laws and other publications of lecturers.
