This is a graduate seminar on a several not too connected topics, based on the area of graduate research of the course participants. The aim of the seminar is to provide a service for graduate students, whose undergraduate background is in other fields than biology and physiology. The goal of the seminar is to get understanding of basic physiological principles and to guide the students through the relevant literature. Among the topics are: biological side of the electrophysiological recording methods, namely ECG, EEG, evoked potentials and electromyography; physiology of senses: vision, hearing, touch, psychophysical methods et cetera
