Tilting of the roadway - types, requirements, ascents and descents, tilting of the earth plain. Road objects. Technical and technical-economic assessment, multi-criteria assessment, earthwork, distribution of materials and materials. Roadway - design of rigid and non-rigid roadway construction, computational assessment and optimization of non-rigid roadway. Urban roads - differences between urban roads and roads, space requirements - pedestrians, cyclists, disabled people - barrier-free adaptations. Traffic surveys - breakdown, types, progress, prospective intensities, recalculation of intensities, special surveys. turntables, switches. Parking, traffic areas, contour curves, traffic area solutions including drainage. Traffic calming at urban roads - principle, methods, examples.

Requirements:

Submitting the project within the prescribed deadline and scope.

Mandatory participation in training, maximum 2 excused absences.

Continuous correction of work and control during the course.

The above requirements are necessary but not sufficient conditions for successful completion of the course.

Before taking the subject exam, the subject 136DSUZ must be completed.

Syllabus of lectures:

1. Valid laws, protection zones, components and accessories, use, drivability and passability.

2. Introduction to traffic engineering, samples of traffic engineer tasks, traffic safety, safety audit and inspection

3. Movement of an individual vehicle, traffic flow and its characteristics, flow rate and its monitoring, communication capacity and level of service.

4. Capacity of intersections, level of service, theory of time gaps, negative effects of traffic.

5. Routing principles, area of interest, directional solution, directional curves - division, application, layout scheme.

6. Height solution. Longitudinal, transverse and resultant slope.

7. Tilting of the roadway - types, requirements, ascents and descents, tilting of the ground plain. Road objects.

8. Technical and technical-economic evaluation, multi-criteria evaluation, earthwork, distribution of materials and materials.

9. Roadway - design of rigid and non-rigid roadway structure, computational assessment and optimization of non-rigid roadway.

10. Urban roads - differences between urban roads and roads and highways, spatial requirements - pedestrians, cyclists, persons with disabilities - barrier-free adaptations.

11. Traffic surveys - breakdown, types, progress, prospective intensities, recalculation of intensities, special surveys.

12. Turntable, switches. Parking, traffic areas, contour curves, traffic area solutions including drainage.

13. Traffic calming at urban roads - principle, methods, examples.

Syllabus of tutorials:

- Basics of road design

- Design elements of roads

- Directional and height guidance of the route

- Design of directional alternatives

- Comparison of proposed variants (economic evaluation)

- Design of counter-direction arches with an inflection point

- Design of a lane for slow vehicles

- Determining the level of traffic quality

- Road pavement design

- Design of a smaller parking lot for passenger vehicles

Study Objective:

The student will become familiar with the theoretical foundations of vehicle movement modeling, options for determining traffic intensities and ways of assessing the capacity of roads and their intersections. Furthermore, the student will deepen his knowledge, acquired in the course 136DSÚZ, especially in the area of designing land roads, especially local roads, with an emphasis on the issue of parking, traffic calming and barrier-free solutions for local roads. They will also become more familiar with the design of the composition of various structural types of roadways and the possibility of their computational assessment and optimization.
