Synopsis:

Teaching of basic knowledge concerning causes, diagnostics, symptomatology, therapy and prevention in neurological diseases with a special regard to possibilities of all the forms of the rehabilitation treatment. Principle of particular auxiliary examinations and their application particularly to the movement therapy.

Practical exercises: anamnesis, basic neurological examination, demonstration of particular diagnoses/patients.

Requirements:

The condition is processing essay on a selected topic that will be approved by the lecturer. Seminar work student must submit, by 1 12th

The work delivered later will not be accepted. A student who does not hand in work on time, it will receive credit and will not be admitted to the test.

Thematic areas of the test match odpřednášeným topics of lectures. The test contains a total of 30 test questions (number of correct odpědí 0 to all) test scores: 30 to 29 correct answers = 1 (A) 28 to 27 correct answers = 1.5 (B) 26 to 24 correct answers = 2 (C) 23 to 22 correct answers = 2.5 (D) 21 to 19 correct answers = 3 (E) 18 and less correct answers = 4 (F).

Syllabus of lectures:

Anatomo-physiological remarks. Localization of brain functions. Central and peripheral parasympathetic, phatic disorders.

Fundamentals of neuroimaging.

Injuries to the nervous system. Topography of the spinal cord.

Involvement of peripheral nerves, including inflammation, sensory disturbances

Disorders of neuromuscular transmission. Myopathy.

Epilepsy.

Headache.

Stroke.

Tumors of the nervous system.

Inflammation of the nervous system, including autoimmune.

Degenerative diseases of the nervous system - Dementia, 12.12.Parkinsonova disease, etc.

Vertebral disease.

Unconsciousness - etiology, diagnosis, therapy. Neurogenic respiratory failure.

Auxiliary diagnostic methods in neurology.
