Synopsis:

The aim of the course is to deepen the knowledge about the socio - cultural context of historical buildings, landscape structure and settlement in the Czech lands in the changes from prehistory to the beginning of industrial revolution. The interpretation follows the typology of social subjects and their typical settlements (castles, fortresses, chateaus, temples, monasteries, houses, towns, villages, manor houses) in European contexts, according to ideological canons, but also in real operation and in contact with the landscape. It approaches the cultural and historical values ??of the Czech lands, the issues of their renewal and the revitalization of monuments.
