The student will become familiar with the work methods used in the field of epidemiology of communicable diseases, as well as in environmental epidemiology, disease and non-infectious origins in solving a number of priorities for public health.

1. Topic Public health protection- legislation, organizations, monitoring health and the environment, biological monitoring.
2. Topic Hygiene- waste disposal options and potential health risks, microclimate.
3. Topic Physical environmental factors- their effect on the human body.
4. Topic Hygiene- requirements for the establishment and operation of medical facilities.
5. Topic of Hygiene disinfection- sterilization, principles of care for medical devices.
6. Topic Hygiene in a working environment-- optimizing the working conditions and working environment.
7. Topic Occupational medicine- physical fitness, preventive medical examinations, workload, occupational diseases, safety and health promotion in the workplace.
8. Topic Epidemiology- terminology, epidemiological methods of work and their use.
9. Topic Characteristics of the epidemic process- epidemiological measures, definitions and targets epidemiological surveillance.
10. Topic Principles of non-infectious epidemiology- environmental epidemiology.
11. Topic Acute Illnesses- respiratory and diarrheal diseases (viral and bacterial)
12. Topic Viral- hepatitis, HIV / AIDS and emerging infections (bird flu, SARS)
13. Topic Nosocomial infections- principles of immunization vaccination calendar.
14. Topic Bioterrorism- infection as Biological agents
