Principles of radiation protection, sources of ionizing radiation, calculations of dosimetric quantities, determination of doses, comparison of analytical and numerical calculation techniques.

6.Materials used to shielding of ionizing radiation

1.Calculation of doses for alpha and beta particles

2.Calculation of doses for photons

3.Calculation of doses for neutrons

4.Construction of shielding for X-ray and gamma-ray sources

5.Calculation of radiation field with Monte Carlo method

6.Comparison of analytical and numerical calculation methods

7.Summary and test
