Synopsis:

Qualifying thesis completing the Master's degree. The Department of Urban Design, Town and Regional Planning enters theses in the study programme Architecture and Building Sciences (majoring in Architecture and Urbanism) and Civil Engineering, majoring in Environmental Engineering.

Requirements:

The scope and content of the thesis is specified by the supervisor in the thesis assignment and is approved by the head of the department. The preparation of a pre-diploma project is not a prerequisite for writing the diploma thesis (however, it is advisable). Students who for some reason (foreign internship) do not complete a pre-diploma project at the department may also prepare a diploma thesis, with a modified assignment.

The course does not have lectures, it takes place in the form of individual consultations with the supervisor.

Study Objective:

Demonstration of knowledge and skills at the level of a graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering with a focus on urban, spatial and landscape planning.

Study materials:

Study materials depend on the topic of the thesis. The basic literature and sources are listed in the thesis assignment. Additional materials are recommended by the thesis supervisor during the consultation.
