Optional course offers Master´s Degree students at intermediate level of English a chance to improve, develop, and strengthen their vocabulary and speaking skills. Course syllabus will respond to specific professional interests and situations of students and choice of topics will be agreed on with tutor. Course is a non-graded assessment course.

Student will have passed English for intermediate course in the Bachelor programme

Course outline is based on topics agreed with the tutor and students according to their needs, namely: courses, students´ research and work at the department, projects, exchange programmes, study stays, conferences, free time and hobbies.

The course is run as a series of seminars following the topics and scope of the syllabus mentioned above.
- Study Objective:

To offer students on master programmes a chance to develop and strengthen speaking skills on professional topics. Such training is not possible in bachelor programmes due to time limitations of course syllabus.
Knowledge:
Correct pronunciation of more difficult vocabulary structures, intonation, phrases for presenting arguments and discussions, expressing opinions, agreement, disagreement.
Skills:
To discusson topics related to the students´s field using appropriate language structures and correct pronunciation and intonation.
