Macroscopic Analysis of the Transport Systems

Synopsis:

General tenets of macroscopic modelling and tuition of the chosen methodology with the software package PTV Vision (VISUM, VISEM or VISEVA). In the general parts of the lessons a historical genesis, using of the statistics background and structure of necessary data are explained. In the parts of the software operation a construction of transport supply sub-model (transport infrastructure, operating of transport - VISUM interface) and transport demand sub-model (travel behaviour, structural data - VISEM/VISEVA interface) are practiced. Developing visions of using the gained skills on academic and commercial level is a logical part of the lessons. Due to motivation of students some current models of cities, regions and higher land structures are presented.
