Synopsis:

Progressive technological procedures resulting from the latest construction research. Introduction to modern technologies used in the construction of non-traditional buildings and in meeting demanding customer requirements. Special methods of production of monolithic, prefabricated and combined silicate load-bearing structures. Current technologies of monolithic structures. Special technologies of erection of steel structures. Special technologies used in the construction of new buildings as well as in the reconstruction of buildings and the protection of monuments. Progressive materials and technological procedures for interior and finishing works resulting from the latest developments in construction research.

Requirements:

Submission of work by the prescribed deadline and to the prescribed extent (see Teams).

Compulsory attendance in class, maximum 2 unexcused absences.

Regular consultation and checking of work during the course.

1. Buildings and technologies for production and logistics. Technologies for the rehabilitation of industrial sites.

2. Buildings and technologies for agriculture. Technologies for the rehabilitation of agricultural sites.

Buildings and technologies for the extraction and processing of raw materials and for the production and distribution of energy and utilities.

4. buildings and technologies for transport. Technologies for underground and tunnel construction.

5. Construction and technology for aerospace.

6. buildings and technologies for telecommunications.

7. buildings and technologies for entertainment, sport and tourism. Crenotechnics and balneotechnics.

8. buildings and technologies for water management and flood protection.

9. Urban engineering structures and technologies. Trenchless technologies for the construction of utilities.

10. Civil protection structures. Technologies for anti-terrorism protection of buildings.

11. Green buildings and technologies for the construction of sustainable and low-energy buildings.

12. Historic buildings and monuments and the technological and social framework for their protection.

13. Building 4.0. Robotic building technologies. Responsive architecture.

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the rich typology of special buildings and related construction technologies. The course should cover a wide range of different building types, including an outline of historic preservation, and outline the latest trends in construction related to sustainability and the advent of Construction 4.0, i.e. robotic construction.
