Synopsis:

The aim of the teaching course is to introduce students to basic models and methods of decision theory. Models are structured according number of participants, number of criteria, sets of decision variants, and other attributes. Included basic disciplines are decision by certainty, risk and uncertainty, multicriteria decision-making, and group decision-making.

Requirements:

graduation in mathematics and operations research courses

Syllabus of lectures:

1.Basic concepts of decision theory.

2.Discrete models of decisions.

3.Decision by certainty, risk and uncertainty.

4.Continuous models of decisions - mathematical programming.

5.Multiattribute evaluation of alternatives.

6.Methods with aspiration levels, ordinal and cardinal information.

7.Multiobjective programming.

8.Methods with a priori, a posteriori, and progressive information.

9.Data envelopment analysis models.

10.Models of game theory.

11.Models of social choice theory.

12.Models of team expert evaluation.

13.Modeling of negotiation process.

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the basic models and methods of decision theory. Models are divided according to the number of participants, the number of criteria, the expression of a set of decision variants and other attributes. Basic disciplines include single-criteria decision-making under certainty, uncertainty and risk, multi-criteria decision-making and group decision-making.
