Synopsis:

Students meet geomorphic fluvial processes taking place in river channels, expand their knowlege in the field of river hydraulics and river training technology and gain an idea of administration, maintenance and management of rivers in the Czech Republic. In practical part students are requested to prepare a report on assesment of river reach of own choice with aim to identify problems to be solved.

Requirements:

In this course knowledge of 141HYA,141HYKL (141KMH) is required.

Study Objective:

Understanding fluvial geomorphic processes in channels and floodplains and meet options for technical measures in natural and influenced riverine environment.
