The course deals with basic domains of linear algebra and their applications in economy and other disciplines. The language of instruction is English.

- Syllabus of lectures:

Language of mathematics. Proofs. Systems of linear equations (methods of solving, applications). Matrices (matrix operations, matrix algebra, rank, introduction to linear transformations). Vectors (vectors in geometry, algebra of vectors, length and angle, lines and planes), vector spaces (vector spaces and subspaces, linear dependence and independence, basis, dimension).

Knowledge: basic knowledge of linear algebra and its applications. The course is run in English, students? functional bilingualism is developed. Skills: Application of basic knowledge from linear algebra. Communication about a non-language subject in English.
