Synopsis:

The course deals with summary of basic knowledge of design of machine components and shape elements, tolerances, GPS, design and dimensioning of components is discussed. The subject is accompanied by a number of illustrative examples. Topics of bolted joints, joint of a hub and a shaft, welded joints, gear mechanisms, shafts, bearings, couplings, fittings, beam and crank mechanisms is summarized. Subject has a link to materials engineering and manufacturing technology.

Requirements:

Completion of subjects Engineering Design 1, 2, 3, 4 and Machine Elements and Mechanisms 1.

Study Objective:

The goal of the study is summarization of knowledg for the needs of the bachelor thesis to improve students´ ability to apply knowledge from previous studies on specific problems from engineering practise.
