Introduction and explanation of basic physics principles used in vehicle crash analysis - kinematics and dynamics of vehicle and occupant. Introduction to injury biomechanics, injury mechanisms and criteria. Overview of safety legislation. Overview and function of nowadays safety restraint system used.

-Vehicle crash mechanics - basic formulas and relations used in crash analysis, (relationship between velocity change, distance for the change and resulting deceleration => restraint system - principle of function and energy absorption of structural elements)
-Compatibility of vehicles,
-Typical collision scenarios (front, side, rear impact, rollover) - behavior of vehicles and occupant during impact,
-Biomechanics of injury (occupant and pedestrian protection) => injury mechanisms, injury criteria,
-Overview of technical regulations relating to passive safety, Methodology of the most often used tests,
-Safety restraint system used in now days vehicles - overview, explanation of function and its contribution to safety
