This course is dedicated to bachelor students in the undergraduate Geodesy and Cartography study program as a supplementary seminar to the basic course of engineering physics 102FY2G. The content of the seminar is to deepen the knowledge from the basic physics course (102FY2G) and to apply this knowledge to the solution of specific physics problems. The course is very suitable as a supplement to the lectures in Physics 2G (102FY2G) and as a preparation for the exam.

Electromagnetic waves and their propagation in the environment. Optical radiation and its properties. Imaging by optical system and optical elements. Parameters of optical systems and instruments. Fundamentals of wave optics. Fundamentals of thermal radiation. Photoelectric effect. Doppler effect.
