Synopsis:

The course covers the most important types of modern methods and procedures used in practical metrology in construction, surveying and industry. The course introduces students to the principles of operation of individual methods, applications of these methods, construction of measurement systems and processing of measured data.

Syllabus of lectures:

1.-3. Basic principles of function of optical and optoelectronic elements, sources and detectors of optical radiation.

4.-5. Non-contact optical and optoelectronic methods of measuring position, angles and distances.

6.-8. Non-contact optical methods for measuring deformation and displacement.

9.-11. Non-contact optical and optoelectronic methods for measuring macro and microtopography of surfaces.

12.-13. Non-contact measurement of vibrations and velocities of movement of objects under investigation using optoelectronic methods.

Study Objective:

The aim of the study is to introduce students to the principles and applications of the most important types of modern methods used in practical metrology in construction, geodesy and industry.
