Synopsis:

The course is based on the Decree č.55/2011 that activities of medical staff and other specialists.

The aim of the practice is practice, acquisition and consolidation of nursing activities in accordance with the theoretical and practical instruction. Students gradually acquire the skill to engage in favor of others, show tact and empathy, to act in accordance with the ethical, legal and social principles, respect the socio-cultural differences, completed his prejudices. The practice is led by a registered health care professional. Part of the course are internships.

Workplace: Coronary ICU, Cardiac ICU, cardiovascular ICU, surgical ICU unit for intensive night recovery, neurological ICU, burn ICU, trauma (trauma) ICU, respiratory ICU, geriatric ICU, metabolic ICU, neonatal ICU, children's (pediatric) intensive care unit, psychiatric intensive care unit, dialysis unit

Requirements:

Valid vaccination against hepatitis B, completed health and safety, 100% attendance, absence must be replaced at a different time, confirmation of the completed practice in Diary of a competent professional records department.

- Treat patients in the ICU to ICU professional character, especially focused on the care of patients with:

- mechanical ventilator,

- external pacemakers and defibrillators,

- patients with invasive external inputs

- including cardiac monitoring telemetry,

- need of elimination methods

- monitoring of vital signs

Study Objective:

The course is practical training, acquisition and consolidation of nursing activities in accordance with the theoretical and practical instruction. Students can gradually acquire the skills to engage for the benefit of others, show empathy and tact to act in accordance with the ethical, legal and social principles, respecting differences and from their socio-cultural prejudices.
