Fundamentals of the Psychotherapeutic Approach and Communication with the Patient

Synopsis:

The purpose of the course is to improve the training and subsequent professional communication with patients, their relatives and other persons in difficult life situations with which the nurse comes into professional contact, with an emphasis on problem types of personalities.

The subject will be practicing empathy, interpretation, feedback, identification, transference and counter, authentic manner. Another aim is to support practicing psychotherapeutic approach.

Due to the limited scope can not managing to various forms of psychotherapy and specific psychotherapeutic techniques, information about them will be given only a brief summary.

Assessment and Examination Requirements

2 absences are permitted for serious reasons (illness, etc.).

Condition for graduation credit processing is seminary work at one of the topics offered. Topics are listed in a separate annex syllabus. The student shall subject that wants to process the practitioner before the end of the fourth week summer term and present the latest by the end of teaching in the summer semester (SS tj.10 week) in electronic, event. printed form. Range is 5 pages of text, the work must meet the formal requirements for seminary work.

Basic communication skills - empathy, listening, interest, support, silence

Nonverbal communication

Verbal communication - conversation history

Assertiveness in medical practice

Communication with individuals of different ages, communication with the elderly

Communication with the physically disadvantaged persons

Stressful events, stressful conditions, the crisis

Fundamentals of psychotherapy, supportive psychotherapy

Principles of psychological help

Study Objective:

The goal is to help improve professional communication with patients, their relatives and other persons with whom the medic comes to a professional contact, with an emphasis on problem types of personalities, moreover, difficult life situations.

The subject of the practice of empathy, interpretation, feedback, transference and counter-identification, authentic appearance. Another objective is to support practicing psychotherapeutic approach.
