A hands-on course with active student participation in discussions about basic principles underlying Biomedical Ethics. Main attention will be devoted to various ethical elements in the everyday life and in clinical situations. The principal treated topics are: ethical issues at the end of life, ethical and legal issues related to withholding life-support on the basis of medical futility, ethical issues related to truth-telling, bioethics and professional code of conduct.
