Students know various types of ISs and their practical implementation aspects and are able to match the needs of different market segments (customers) with applications of existing technologies (databases, programming languages, GUI etc.).
- Requirements:

General knowledge about database technologies, client server principle, basic knowledge about tools for description of real systems behaviour (for example case tools, UML,etc.), user interface implementation knowledge, overview of systems implementation and programming technologies.

1. Introduction to Information Systems, glossary and definitions, subject motivation.
2. Information System implementation, project.
3. Project control in practice.
4. Business process description, Data flow description, connection to information systems.
5. Process management in practice.
6. Market verticals, Information Systems types.
7. Information systems for Customer Realationship Management (CRM).
8. Information systems for manufacturing companies.
9. Postimplementation stage of project realization.
10. ERP information systems.
11. Public service iformation systems.
12. Legal questions of Information Systems implementation, specification of information systems delivery to different segments.
13. Reserve, economical aspect of the information systems implementation.

- Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to inform students about the types of Information Systems and their practical implementation aspects. After completing the course, students will be able to match the needs of different market segments (customers) with applications of existing technologies (databases, programming languages, GUI etc.). Knowledge obtained in this course can serve as the fundamentals for IS project management, as well as for selecting an optimal solution (including technology), choosing a supplier, and supervising the delivery of an information system by a third party.
