Elective course following from compulsory courses KG01 and KGA1

Requirements:

Presentation about a chosen geometrical topic including its model

1. Ruled surfaces developable and non-developable

2. Translation surfaces

3. Sphenoid surfaces

4. Joining surfaces

5. Modeling: translation and sphenoid surfaces (SW Maple, Rhinoceros)

6. Exercises on Topographic Maps

7. Mean and Gaussian curvature

8. Geodesics on surfaces

9. Curves and surfaces in computer geometry

10. Projective geometry - linear objects

11. Projective geometry - quadratic curves

12. Presentation of students' projects

Study Objective:

The aim of this course is to build on the knowledge acquired in the KG01 and KGA1 compulsory courses and to offer unusual problem-solving methods in conjunction with engineering practice. Students are encouraged to seek geometrical rules? in buildings either designed or already built.
