After passing this subject students will gain both knowledge and practical experience concerning Enterprise Information Systems integration both in vertical and horizontal sense. Vertical integration is presented by outstanding experts (consultants) from companies, which deliver well known worldwide Executive Information Systems (Business Intelligence systems)into Czech Enterprises. Students will be featured also with knowledge concerning horizontal
integration through one of the world leading ERP system MFG/Pro. This system is implemented at the Department of Economics and Management and is taught by outstanding specialists of company MINERVA - IS, which is exclusive supplier this ERP system into Czech Enterprises.

Aim and importance of IS/IT integration, internal, external, vertical and horizontal IS/IT integration.
Process, technologic and methodic aspects of IS/IT integration. Managerial information
needs, EIS functionality and architecture. OLAP technology, multidimensional databases,
data mining, data loading and extraction. Presentation of EIS systems COGNOS, SAP BW,
Business Navigation System MIS-ALEA. Solving of first assignment. Presentation and
evaluation of first assignment. Architecture and functionality of an ERP system MFG/Pro.
Practical classes with MFG/Pro modules (purchasing, production, calculation, sales etc.).
Solving of second assignment. Presentation and evaluation of second assignment.
