Theory of macroeconomics presenting the relevant theory and the same time showing both its empirical and policy applications. The overriding objective is two explain how modern macroeconomics is used in understanding important economic issues. It provides full coverage of all major topics - market equilibrium, value, price, wage, income distribution, public sector, public choice as well as money market and the money supply multiplier, the process of deposit creation, business cycle, international trade and the output over long period?s time. The short-run fluctuations that constitute the business cycle are dealt. Empirical material, data and case studies are essential in grasping what the macroeconomic issues are all about. The main viewpoints in macroeconomics are used to show the different approaches of predictions or macroeconomic behavior and their implications for economic policy.

Adjustment towards equilibrium. Formalization of IS-LM model. Long-term growth and productivity. Growth resources of real income. Demand for money. Baumol-Tobin model. Controlling the growth of the monetary aggregates. The borrowed-reserves operating procedure. Poole analysis. Intermediate targets and indicators. Monetary base. Nominal GDP targeting.
