Fundamentals of thermodynamics: enthalpy, entropy , energy balance, optimization of thermodynamic systems (methods Pinch, EGM). Mechanisms of heat transfer without phase change (conduction, forced and natural convection). Intensification of heat transfer. Heat exchangers (theoretical foundation, design procedures). Correlation for calculations of pressure loss and heat transfer in tubular and plate heat exchangers. The influence of deposits. Heat exchangers with extended heat transfer surface. Heat transfer with phase transitions (boiling, condensation), evaporators and thermocompressor. Theory of drying and dryers. Combustion and furnaces. Electric heat.

5. Noncircular ducts, heat transer enhancement, fouling
6. External flows, tube bundle
7. Heat exchangers
8. Phase changes, evaporation, evaporators, thermocompression
9. Drying and driers (and also baking, frying, sprays...)
10. Combustion and burners (static balances, flame temperature, radiation)
11. Combustion and flames (kinetics, reactions, CFD)
12. Electric heat (direct ohmic heating and microwaves)
