Designing realization of required kinematic and force linkages between contacting machine elements and general methods of their joining into a functional assembly units. Bolted joints, clamped joints, pressed joints, splined joints, joining with feathers, keys and rivets, welded joints, soldered joints, glued joints etc. Internal mechanisms, load concentrations, potential limit states, solution of loading capacity and operating reliability of joints and joined machine elements.
