Introduction to district hating. Heat supply, annual heat consumption, diagrams, heat loses. Heating plants, types of heating boilers. Combined heat and power plants (CHP plants), types of steam boilers and turbines for CHP plants, reliability. CHP plants with gas turbines and gas engines. Plants with fuel cells and heat pumps. Heat distribution, piping systems, selection of heating fluid, pressure diagram of hot water system. Design of piping system, diameter optimization. Calculation of heat loses in primary pipelines. Temperature expansivity of pipeline, compensators, pipeline mounting. Heat delivery stations, connection of heat consumers. Control of district heating systems. Heat accumulation, types of heat accumulators.
