- Synopsis:
-
Operator and Engineering Simulators - basic types, use. Software support for industrial process modelling - examples from power plants and engines.
- Requirements:
-
Knowledge of terminology and fundamental principles of simulator development and control algorithm design within the range of the topics presented in the lectures.
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
Operator and engineering simulators are modern tools for ensuring readiness of operating workers for an unexpected occurrence of a failure, for providing support in innovation, proposed algorithm changes, eventually in forecasting future development.
Software support for industrial process modelling -
examples from power plants and engines.
- Syllabus of tutorials:
-
The course is proposed for a small group of students in a computer laboratory, where the lecture and exercise part are mixed, i.e. each topic is followed by a computer simulation performed by students themselves.
