Anotace:

This course is designed to enhance communication skills in English within the context of project management. It places a strong emphasis on achieving clarity, precision, and adaptability in both expressing and comprehending the English language. The curriculum expands participants' understanding of various topics, such as engaging presentations, product descriptions, marketing strategies, and reporting. Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to enrich their vocabulary and refine their grasp of English grammar. The newly acquired knowledge can also be effectively applied in engineering settings.

Please, note that prior knowledge of English at minimum CEFR B2 level is required (a short test at the start of the course)!

active participation

attendance min 80%

presentation in class (5-10 mins)

final graded test (minimum 50%)

in-class essay (2-4 pages)

Cíle studia:

Upon successful completion of the course, students will have:

gained more self-confidence in expressing themselves in English

learned new communication skills to work effectively with others (speaking and listening)

learned new vocabulary from business environment

improved their language accuracy (speaking and writing) and grammar skills

gained detailed knowledge of authentic business contexts (reading and listening)

learned to articulate their ideas effectively and politely
