Synopsis:

Theory of traffic flow. Methods of monitoring - profile, spatially time. Automatic traffic counts. Security parameters - accidents, near-misses. Surveys in public transport. Overview of traffic microsimulation models. Getting to know the working environment applications. Explanation of movement of vehicles in the traffic system. Creating and simulation of microscopic traffic model. Evaluation of the output characteristics. 4D visualization model.

Requirements:

data processing from road transport, statistical methods for evaluation of data files, intensity, density, speed, continuity equation, transport models

Study Objective:

The aim of the course is to introduce students with the issues collecting and evaluating of data traffic engineering and based on these documents then teach students to create their own simulation of microscopic traffic models and multimodal transport flows.
