The course is for those who are interested in historical roots of the European integration process particularly on economic, but also military and political level. The explanation will be divided into two basic parts. In the first one the preconditions and beginnings of supranational integration will be analysed while in the second one stress will be put on the after-war European integration rise. The entire course covers the period from the beginning of the 19th century to the full forming of European communities. We will go over the topics comparatively within the context of the development from the standpoint of powers' balance and applying tochanges of international relations.
