The overview of principles of intelligent transport systems especially in highway systems is presented. Necessary systems in vehicles and in infrastructure are introduced. Students are acquainted with fundamentals of fuzzy logic as a main tool for control on higher levels. students are also acquainted with basic principles of pattrern recognition and its applications in transport.
