Synopsis:

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of science - from the organization of scientific activities in the Czech Republic and abroad, through the organization of grant agencies, the way of acquiring information through literature, Internet and other information resources to its own principles of scientific work - how to handle literature searches, how to proceed processing tasks, how to critically evaluate the results, as process, as presented (oral communication in lectures, seminars, poster communication, a written presentation). Because students learn in detail how to present the results of scientific work will be able to use all this knowledge and the processing of its own thesis.

Requirements:

Processing by the theme using sources of information from the Internet, control its presentation of written and oral form.

Syllabus of lectures:

Science and its structure, the nature of scientific work and its objectives

Basic concepts (hypothesis, laws, theories, models)

Create a portfolio of information, finding information through information technology

Principles of experimentation in medicine, the measurement process and its evaluation

Applying the sociological and psychological research,

Build the project, the structure of research,

Obajoba research reports.

The draft project of scientific work, the structure of scientific communication, processing inventory,

Creation of a research project portfolio,

Searching on the Internet, library catalogs, in bibliographic systems.
