Synopsis:

Failure rate of operation, fault sources and mechanisms. Indoor and outdoor insulation of electrical equipment. Diagnostic methods, using in operation. Choice of methods for diagnostic systems. Application of database systems for electrical machines and equipment of HV and EHV. Application of systems with element of artificial intelligence in electro diagnostics.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

1. Failure rate of operation, fault sources and mechanisms.

2. Service reliability and its assurance.

3. Reliability of elements in electrical power engineering. Diagram of reliability.

4. Probabilistic disturbance characteristics, their obtaining and evaluation.

5. Diagnostics of insulating systems.

6. Diagnostic methods for rotating electrical machines.

7. Diagnostic methods for non-rotating electrical machines.

8. Diagnostic methods for insulating oils.

9. Degradation oils and paper insulation in operation. Chromatography.

10. Classification and selection of diagnostic methods for off-line and on-line measurement. Operational monitoring.

11. Vibrodiagnostics. Thermodiagnostics, thermovision.

12. Measuring of discharge activity in insulating systems of HV and EHV electrical machines and equipment.

13. Database systems for electro diagnostics.

14. Using of methods of artificially intelligence in electro diagnostics.
