The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic elements of automation of basic production processes and with modern trends in production, which lead to increased productivity, quality and repeatability of production

• Introduction - explanation of terms: mechanization, automation, robotics, advantages, disadvantages, types of sensing and control elements
• Issues of production automation in connection with the national initiative Industry 4.0
• Design of robotic workplaces and the use of robotics in production technologies
• Automation of foundry processes - casting into metal molds, pressure casting
• Automation on foundries with sand management, design of automatic foundry workplaces
• Automation of welding processes, application of suitable technologies, control and monitoring of welding parameters
• Design of automatic machines, robotic workplaces for welding, the importance of peripheral equipment, positioners, jigs
• Automation in the field of sheet metal forming, design of workplaces for sheet metal forming
• Automation in the field of volume forming, design of automatic forging cells
• Automation in the field of gluing and additive technologies
• Automation of machining and assembly processes
