Synopsis:

Indoor climate and interaction with ventilation systems, air distribution, ventilation in specific spaces, protection against vibrations and noise, fire and emergency ventilation, cooling, cooling sources and distribution.

Syllabus of lectures:

Theory of indoor environment. Air distribution. Ventilation of garages, pools, agricultural buildings. Ventilation of historic buildings. Fire and emergency ventilation. Noise in ventilation systems. Regulation and Control of ventilation systems. heat recovery. Cooling systems. Air cooling systems. Water cooling systems. Cold distribution and emission. Passive cooling.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Introduction. Moist air processes, Psychrometric chart. Air handling unit design. Supply elements design. Ventilation of stables, pools, garages. Conceptual design of a cooling system. Utilization of renewable sources for cooling.

Study Objective:

Student will receive more detail knowledge for operation and design of ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Part of this course is focused on fire and emergency ventilation. Last part presents introduction to cooling systems and cold distribution.
