The subject of the study is the design of hydraulic structures - weirs, dams, navigation structures and hydropower plants. Students get further acquainted with technical requirements and operation of hydraulic structures.

design data, loads, foundations, static and structural systems, facility and accessory of hydraulic structures
- Syllabus of tutorials:

hydrological data analysis, design of the cross section, plan design of the dam and the accessory, static analysis, calculation of the free water surface inside a earth fill dam, analysis of the static ice load, analysis of the wave load, calculation and design of emergency spillway, calculation and design of bottom outlet, design of water diversion along the construction site
