- Synopsis:
-
Introduction to various classical as well as novel approaches currently available for the modeling of heterogeneous materials. Micromechanical modeling and homogenization of metal matrix and polymer matrix composites. Basic principles of fracture mechanics combined with micromechanics to provide theoretical background for the non-linear constitutive modeling of cementitious composite materials and structures, jointed rocks etc.
