The aim of the course is to introduce PhD students to the art of composing written documents ( e.g. presentations, official letters), oral presentation, reading skills ( getting both general and detailed information ), the art of understanding speech in a foreign language. (general gist, specific information). Selected parts of relevant grammar, defining and classifying, qualifying and comparing are also included. General technical English, specific technical English.

credit : attendance - 3 sick leaves per semester, presentation, exam : written test - min. 60%, oral part - reading technical text
