Introduction to fire safety, principles of thermal analysis, temperature of structures exposed to fire, fire resistance of structural elements - tie rod, beam, column, fire protection, timber structures, composite structures. Practical application: evaluation of fire load, calculation of fire resistance of steel and composite beams, steel and timber column.

To learn basic principles of modern methods for design of structural elements exposed to fire. The aim is to get the ability to design simple steel, composite and timber structures exposed to fire.
