Synopsis:

Building chemistry contain chemistry of water, inorganic and organic building materials. The usage of metal components brings problem of metals corrosion, hence the knowledge of electrochemistry is important. Building chemistry also deals with building materials analysis.

Requirements:

States of matter, reactions, physical chemistry, chemistry of water.

Silicates, aluminates, rock building materials.

Lime and gypsum.

Cement and concrete.

Organic building materials.

Chemical garden

Pyrolysis

Flame colouring

Interesting water properties

Extraction

Solution density determination

Plastics analysis

Destilation

Study Objective:

The goal of this subject is recognition of building chemistry not only in the theoretical but also in the practical usage.
