Synopsis:

Measuring of electric values, principles, using, and parameters. Analogue measuring converters. Electromechanical measuring devices. Current and potential measuring. Frequency and shift phase measuring. Electric work and electric power measuring: direct current, single-phase and three-phase current. Electrical resistance and impedance measuring. Magnetic measuring. Analogue scope. Digitalization, digital signal processing, signal reconstruction. Electronic measuring devices: multimeter, digital scope. Optoelectronic measuring device.

Requirements:
Syllabus of lectures:

1.Electromechanical measuring devices. Magneto electric, electromagnetic, electrodynamic, inductive, vibratory, electrostatic systems - principles, usage, parameters. Analogue measuring converters - differentiating amplifier, instrument amplifier, measuring rectifier- principles, usage, parameters

2.Direct current and potential measuring - etalons, choice and connection of instrument.

3.Alternating current and potential measuring - etalons, choice and connection of instrument.

4.Frequency and shift phase measuring - measuring methods and instruments.

5.Electric work and electric power measuring of direct current and of single-phase alternating current - measuring methods and instruments.

6.Electric work and electric power measuring of three-phase current Měření výkonu a práce trojfázového střídavého proudu - measuring methods and instruments.

7.Electric resistance measuring by direct current - measuring methods and instruments.

8.Electric impedance measuring - measuring methods and instruments.

9.Magnetic measuring - measuring methods and instruments.

10.Analogue scopes and recorders - measuring methods and instruments.

11.Digitalization, digital signal processing, signal reconstruction - sampling of signal, samplers, A/D and D/A converters.

12.Basic electronics measuring instruments - digital multimeter and digital scope - principles, usage, parameters.

13.Measuring systems - separation, structure, standardized data bus line and measuring systems.

14.Optoelectronic measuring methods - principles, usage.

Syllabus of tutorials:

1. Introduction, safety regulations for work in the electro laboratory, laboratory regulations, power sources, potentials and current regulation. Error and indeterminateness of measurement.

2.Direct current and potential measuring.

3.Alternating current and potential measuring. Kirchhoff law verification.

4.Frequency and shift phase measuring.

5.The electric power of direct current measuring.

6.Real power and reactive power measuring.

7.Electric energy consumption measuring.

8.Small and large resistance measuring by ohmmeter Ohms method.

9.Resistance measuring by comparative, substitute and voltametric method.

10.Inductivity measuring by LC meters and by three voltmeters. Mutual inductance measuring.

11.Inductivity measuring of air-core coil and coil with ferromagnetic core by VA method.

12.Capacitance measuring by LC meters and by resonance method of measurement.

13.Capacitance measuring by VA method and by bridge measurement method.

14.Magnetization characteristics and hysteresis loop measuring.

Study Objective:

The goal of this subject is to inform students about measurement of electric values and used measuring instruments and its properties and principles.
