- Study Objective:
-
The principal aim is to teach students how to perform first aid. Basic principals of the diagnosis of life- and health-threatening conditions and treatment of emergency situation using provisional aids or simple equipment will be presented by e-learning course. The emphasis will not be on detailed diagnose and understanding underlying pathology, but on rapid recognition of the problem, good orientation in emergency situation, adopting correct decision and performing adequate action. The latter part will be also demonstrated during practical lessons. Recommended literature consists not only from textbooks, but also from films and multimedia textbooks aimed on practical part of the first aid.
After successful passing the study, students would be able not only to perform first aid by themselves, but to organise first aid among laymen in case of necessity.
