- Synopsis:
-
The subject of the study is the information of students about the application of up to date and non traditional construction materials for hydraulic structures. Main interest is focused to plastic materials, glass, metals and atypical application of conservative construction materials as well as to atypical construction technologies.
- Requirements:
-
no prerequisities
- Syllabus of lectures:
-
the sorting of hydraulic structures taking the application of latest materials into account, monitoring with telemetric stations, dry ice, UHDPE, polyuretans, special concrete and additives (fiber reinforced concrete, silica fumes), roll compacted concrete, geotextiles and geomembranes in hydraulic construction and water management, reinforced soil, special emergency spillways, anchoring systems in hydraulic construction, watertight technologies for construction joints
- Syllabus of tutorials:
- Study Objective:
-
The goal of the study is to teach students to catch information in the field of up to date construction materials and technologies. The second goal is to teach critical thinking about the design of the application of new materials and technologies for the operation and the construction of hydraulic structures.
