Synopsis:

Students will be informed about the background of knowledge management and about information technologies applicable in water management. The principles of an artificial intelligence will be presented as well as possibilities to collect necessary data. Decision making technologies will be presented by examples focused to water management. Computer models based on WEB and GIS technologies will be presented.

Syllabus of lectures:

History of artificial intelligence discipline. Expert system types. Basic architecture of expert systems. Basic architecture of knowledge systems. Knowledge engineering. Expert systems creation. Knowledge acquisition from human experts. Project team for expert or knowledge system creation. Developmental programmes for expert systems creation. System CLIPS. Expert systems using in establishments. Why knowledge projects break from time to time? Expert and knowledge systems applications in water management.

Syllabus of tutorials:

Introduction into the dispatcher games problems. Giving out roles in the concrete assigned dispatcher game. Gradual going through the dispatchers game decision process. Explanation of CLIPS language basic structure. Detailed view into CLIPS. Simple problem processing in CLIPS language or seminar work of selected theme evolvement. Credit.
