Measuring instruments, metrology, calibration, standards. Errors and uncertainties of measurement. Determination of shape of a water body. Water level gauging. Determination of water level fall and slope. Volume determination. Measurement of pressure. Measurement of velocities.
Discharge measurement in closed conduits and in open channels by various methods. Rating curves and their characteristics. Sediment measuremnts. Determination of basic hydrodynamic parameters.
