Origin and conditions of surveying. Ancient cultures and their measuring devices and methods. Ideas of Earth's shape. Origin of surveying in our country. Participation of surveyors in villages, towns and forts founding and in setting-out of constructions. Introduction of triangulation. Navigation of discoverers voyages. Evolution of education in the field, construction and production of instruments. Origin of topographic mapping. Real estate registry and cadastral measurements in our country. Development of mine surveying, engineering surveying, terrestrial and aerial photogrammetry. Origin of modern electronical methods.
