Synopsis:

Analyses of theoretical concepts of architecture and urbanism typical for selected historical periods. Main topics: concepts of architectural space in history, geometry and its role in architectural and urban composition, semiotics and meaning of symbols in architecture, expression of architecture by non-architectural and non-constructive means.

Study Objective:

Orientation in the theoretical part of the historical and contemporary architecture. Obtaining an abstract about the most important architects and their works. Development of own personality and the individual opinion about contemporary architectural creation.
